Polish

Polish is a West Slavonic language with around 40 million speakers mainly in Poland but with large communities in the United States, Canada and Britain (more specifically in London and Chicago).

The language is inflected, nouns have three genders, and adjectives agree with nouns. So, for instance, 'Polish film(s)' may be 'polski film', 'polskiego filmu', 'polskim filmom' .. depending on the construction.

Possesives and personal pronouns also decline depending on number, case and gender. So 'my' can be 'moye, 'moich', 'moim', 'moimi' and 'moich' and so on.

Related languages

Polish is in the West Slavic branch of the Slavonic languages and most closely related to Czech, Slovak and Sorbian (also West Slavonic languages).
